Mermaids Sighted off the Coast of Nauset!

Maybe you believe in mermaids, or maybe you don’t.

Mermaids have been spotted all around the world throughout history. Although Cape Cod is not the first in mermaid sightings, the book Cape Cod Voyage explains that “explorer Henry Hudson claimed to have sighted a mermaid off Nauset in 1609″.

Today I heard an advertisement suggesting that men should buy women cell phones for valentine’s day. Where, I ask, is the romance in this gesture?

Giving a Heart Pendant means more than giving diamonds, sterling silver or even gold. The story of the heart symbolism hearkens back to myths of old and cultural customs in times past.

According to Gemaffair.com,

“The earliest recorded evidence of a Valentine’s Day card came from Charles, Duke of Orleans in 1415. He was captured during the Battle of Agincourt and was held in the infamous Tower of London. He wrote a love letter to his wife from the Tower”. Now that’s a Valentine’s Day story with heart!
